There once was an ignorant old man that didn’t know anything about anything. All his life, he tried to think to himself, but he wasn’t really sure if he was thinking at all. But, whether or not he was really thinking didn’t really matter to him, because he knew that he was thinking that he might be thinking about thinking. So, he taught himself to be happy even though he didn’t know anything about anything, but it wasn’t easy, nor was it happy. This was the way it seemed to be. But, then one day (it wasn’t any special day, so he thought) there was this little girl that walked up to him and whispered into his blind eyes, “Jesus loves you.” The old man, with tears running down his face, knew right then that he was no longer ignorant. Jesus loved him, and that’s all he really needed to know. He knelt down to try to feel the little girl’s forehead, but she was gone. The memory, though, is still there. It won’t leave. It’s all he knows.
