I just thought I would extend a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who read the blog here. Though Kevin and Drew do most of the talking, I’m hoping to start contributing a little more once school is out. In that spirit, I figure a quick history lesson is in order.
We celebrate Thanksgiving because on November 22nd, 1492, Christopher Columbus discovered the United States of America with the Puritans. To celebrate this momentous occasion, they ate turkey with the Indians who helped them settle in and showed them around upon their arrival. Later that day, they invented football to commemorate the festivities and the rest is history.
So what are you thankful for today? This year, I’m thankful for the public school system.
Enjoy the holiday!
